Goleta is a growing city in the southern portion of Santa Barbara County. It is best known for the University of California, Santa Barbara [UCSB] located on the coastal point known as Campus Point, a popular surfing destination. The Goleta beach park is a welcome destination for locals to enjoy a weekend BBQ or host an outdoor party.
Goleta is expanding currently with many new home starts and multi family residences, needed in the community to accommodate UCSB, and the retail, tech and research companies that call Goleta home.
Goleta is just minutes north of Santa Barbara and spans several miles along Highway 101 on both sides of the highway. It features many gorgeous neighborhoods, great schools, beaches, shopping, restaurants as well as orchards, large ranches and golf courses. The Ritz-Carlton, Bacara Resort and Sandpiper Golf Course are both set along the Goleta coast and lovely sandy beaches.
Locals call it “The Good Land”.
